 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who I Work With
I currently provide therapy and mental health evaluations for adults ages 18 and up. Whether you’re navigating young adulthood, managing the complexities of middle age, or adjusting to new chapters later in life, I’m here to support you with compassion and clinical expertise.

My practice is especially focused on helping individuals who are:

    • Living with severe mental illness

    • Coping with trauma, depression, or anxiety

    • Adjusting to major life transitions

    • Seeking diagnostic clarity or support through evaluations

If you’re unsure whether my services are the right fit for you, I offer a free 20-minute consultation to talk through your needs and explore next steps together.

  • I currently only provide virtual telehealth therapy. All services including mental health evaluations, immigration evaluations, and clinical supervision are virtual.

  • I understand that the cost of mental health care is a meaningful concern, and I want to be transparent about why I am not currently accepting insurance.

At this time, I’ve chosen to remain out-of-network to ensure I can provide flexible, personalized care without the restrictions that often come with insurance plans. This means:

    • You and I decide on the pace and direction of your care. Not your insurance provider

    • Your information stays fully private, without a required diagnosis or treatment plan being submitted

    • We’re not limited by session caps, rigid timelines, or eligibility criteria that may not reflect your needs

That said, I do plan work with insurance companies in the near future. My goal is to make services as accessible and affordable as possible while still providing quality, client-centered care.

In the meantime, I offer sliding scale rates and can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

If you have any questions or want help navigating this, I’m happy to walk you through your options. Your care matters, and I’m committed to helping you find the support you need

  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling to cope, or just not feeling like yourself, a mental health evaluation can be an important first step toward understanding what’s going on.

You might benefit from an evaluation if:

    • You’ve been experiencing ongoing anxiety, depression, or mood changes

    • You’ve noticed shifts in sleep, appetite, or energy levels

    • You’re having difficulty at work, school, or in relationships

    • You need documentation or a clinical opinion for court, school, work, or housing

    • You want clarity around a possible diagnosis or treatment options

Mental health evaluations are structured, yet collaborative. We’ll work together to explore your symptoms, history, and needs in a safe, nonjudgmental space. The goal is to provide insight, recommendations, and a path forward that feels right for you.

If you're unsure whether an evaluation is the right next step, feel free to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation. I’m happy to guide you through the process and help you decide what’s best.

  • I would encourage you to commit to a minimum of six sessions. This allows enough time to build trust, identify goals, and to make meaningful progress. Therapy can truly last anywhere from a few months to a few years. While being in therapy it is important to make sure that we are working towards a goal, but some people find it helpful to be in and out of therapy their entire life.

  • What is an immigration hardship evaluation?

The fee for a standard evaluation with a 2-week turnaround is $800.
If you need your evaluation sooner, an expedited 1-week turnaround is available for an additional $300.

    Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment can be split into two installments. Half is due at the first session, and the remainder is due before the report is released.

Will you work with my attorney?
Yes. With your consent, I can communicate directly with your attorney to ensure the evaluation addresses all necessary points for your case.

What if I need translation services?
If you require translation during the evaluation, you may bring someone you trust to assist you. For an additional fee, I can provide you with a translator for Spanish to English.
